Terms of service

Short and fair. Last updated November 2026.

These terms are an agreement between you (the customer: the business or person who creates an account) and Webgochi [legal entity placeholder](“we”), for the use of Webgochi: the embeddable character widget, the cabinet at app.webgochi.com and the services around them. By creating an account you accept them.

The service

  • Webgochi is software as a service. You add a script tag to your website, and the character appears there with the tours, answers, lead forms and other behaviour you configure in the cabinet.
  • You need an account (sign-in with Google) and a site in the cabinet for every website you put the widget on.
  • You must be at least 18 and able to enter a contract on behalf of the business you sign up for.

Trial, price and renewal

  • Every new site starts with a 14-day free trial with everything included. No card is needed.
  • After the trial the price is $15 per month per site, charged in US dollars through Stripe. The subscription renews automatically every month until you cancel.
  • If a trial ends without a subscription, the widget pauses on that site; your settings and character stay in the cabinet.
  • If a payment fails we retry and email you. If it keeps failing the widget pauses until the payment goes through.
  • We may change the price with at least 30 days’ notice by email; the new price applies from your next renewal after the notice.

Cancelling and refunds

  • You can cancel anytime from the cabinet. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the paid period; the widget keeps working until then and the subscription does not renew.
  • There are no refunds or credits for partial months, except where the law requires them.

What is included

One subscription covers one site with all features: tours, AI answers with human handoff, play, lead capture, exit intent, the Telegram, webhook and email integrations, unlimited pages, and one custom character drawn by us for that site.

Fair use

  • AI answers are subject to fair use. We apply hourly limits per visitor and per site, and a daily budget per site, so that scripted or abusive traffic cannot run up unbounded cost. When a limit is reached the character says so and answers again when it resets. Normal human traffic is not expected to hit these limits. We may adjust them and will tell you if your site is affected.
  • You may not use the service to send spam, to collect personal data unlawfully, to impersonate others, to harass, or to put the widget on sites with illegal content. You may not probe, overload or reverse-engineer the service.
  • You are responsible for the knowledge, prompts and messages you configure, and for what the character says as a result.

Your data and your visitors

  • You own the data in your account: your settings, knowledge, leads, conversations. We process your visitors’ data on your behalf as described in the privacy policy, and only to run the service.
  • You are responsible for telling your visitors about the widget where your laws require it, and for having the right to use the knowledge and material you upload.
  • You can export leads and conversations from the cabinet and delete your data at any time.

Your custom character

  • When we draw a character for your site, you get a perpetual licence to use it on your own websites and in your own materials, during and after your subscription.
  • We may show the character in our portfolio and on this site as an example of our work, unless you ask us not to.
  • The character engine, the preset characters and the service itself remain ours. You may not resell the character engine or offer it as your own service.

Availability

We run the service with care, but we do not promise a particular uptime and there is no service level agreement. The widget loads asynchronously and fails quietly, so an outage on our side does not break your site. We may change or retire features with reasonable notice.

Liability

The service is provided as is. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, lost profits or lost data, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the fees you paid us in the three months before the claim. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

Ending the agreement

You can close your account at any time. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, after a warning where that is reasonable. When an account is closed we delete its data as described in the privacy policy.

Changes and law

We may update these terms; material changes are announced by email at least 14 days before they apply. These terms are governed by the law of [governing law placeholder]. Questions: hello@webgochi.com.
